Installation 00 was the culmination of 27 years of Human Covenant conflict. A faction Elites finally separated from the Covenant, and The Prophet of Truth died by the hand of The Arbiter. Master Chief, attempting to escape Installation 00 as it fired, was stuck in the rear-end of The UNSC Forward Until Dawn, “disappeared”. His whereabouts remain unknown, even though the front half of the ship made it back to Earth.
The Arbiter did not remain on Earth. Soon, he would return to his homeworld to strengthen the rebellion he started.
